Przegląd

We’ve brought together a team of internationally renowned artists, designers & historians — both from Broadway & the experiential world — to design the museum. It will be educational, but told in a fun, accessible, brightly colored way! We are going to share information about the history of the Broadway theaters through projection mapped videos, the timeline of Broadway told through immersive environments that will leave people’s Instagram feeds full of great photos and give guests a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a Broadway show by spotlighting all the jobs and what it takes to create a Broadway show. There are other surprises and sections of the museum that will excite fans young and old!

Having about 1.5 hours before being picked up to go to the airport we stumbled across this wee gem. It was a great wealth of history and information and I throughly enjoyed it. The staff are really friendly and enthusiast. Glad we found it.

The Museum of Broadway offers a fascinating journey through the rich history of New York’s iconic theatre scene, though it may be best suited for enthusiasts. The exhibits are packed with information, featuring detailed boards and stories about individual shows. Costume exhibits are a particular highlight, showcasing the stunning designs that have graced the stage over decades. The museum attempts to recreate a backstage atmosphere, though this can feel slightly claustrophobic for some visitors. Accessibility is a concern; the exhibit starts and ends with staircases, which might be challenging for some visitors. Additionally, all information is only in English, and videos lack closed captions, limiting inclusivity. Overall, it’s a fun and insightful experience, but best suited for true Broadway enthusiasts who appreciate diving deep into theatre history. Casual visitors might find it a bit overwhelming.
