This was a very nice trip on a beautiful sunny day with 2 girlfriends on a Thurs.. Bus ride was good. The carriage ride is given an assigned route as not to bump into all the other carriages out and about in Charleston. So our ride did not include the regular things like rainbow row and the battery. And our horse was very slow and we got literally 15 mins to run thru the market place before gettting back on the bus. The harbor boat ride was lovey as was the nice boxed lunch we ate at tables in the lower deck. The rest of the boat was crowded and no available seats upstairs after we ate. I would highly recommend this trip for the money and the relaxed atmosphere of the day. Just would have liked to have had additional time in Charleston to browse?

Doug the Sunway bus driver was excellent. Was a cautious and smooth driver. Also excellent in his knowledge of the area between Myrtle Beach and Charlestown. The carriage tour was also great with lots of history packed in. The horses, Buck and Buddy, were lively and kept us entertained, but the driver kept them under control! The boat tour on the harbor was very good, again with lots of history packed in. A great way to get a lot of history in a day without having to worry about transportation!

Bus left promptly at 7am. Driver was friendly, pointed out a few things on the way to Charleston for the carriage ride. Our group got a slow horse. Which was fine. Most things in the South are slow. Architecture was beautiful, however, we were so behind on the tour that we weren't allowed any time at the open market. No time for exploring, a quick coffee, nothing. We had to hurry back to the bus because our driver told us the harbor tour would leave without us. So, we made it on time to the harbor, just to wait in a long line on the dock. By the time we got on board the ship there was no seating available on either of the outside upper decks. They had tables set up below for us to eat our box lunch. Lunch offered no gluten free options, so if that's a concern plan ahead. The Captain was witty, but there was limited views from lower/inside deck. The plantation was beautiful, but don't expect to see the whole house. Since family members utilize the house on occasion MOST of the house is off limits. We were able to see the entryway, dining room, and drawing room then taken out back door thru patio. The gardens were the highlight for me, especially this time of year. There's an ice cream shop on site that we were excited about but, they ran out of 4 of the 6 flavors by that time of day. We had no time to take the tour of the agricultural area. I felt very rushed throughout the day and honestly, it seems way over priced for what we actually got to do and see.
