This is a great trip. The bus ride was relaxing and our driver, Henry, was terrific. I would have to say the best part was the Carriage ride. The tour guide was so informative about every aspect of Charleston. And Carlos the horse, was fantastic.
It is true, it would have been better to have more time at the market and to wander around on our own.
The boat cruise was nice but the captain repeated everything we had just heard from the Carriage guide, so it was repetitive. The box lunch was delicious.
The Boone plantation was nice..but you only get to see the first floor of the house as it is privately owned. Front hall, library, dining room, and enclosed porch. The tram ride(pulled by tractor) around the grounds was informative.
All in all, it was a great day, a little bit of everything.
I would highly recommend this trip.
