In May my brother, sister-in-law, one friend and I took the one day bus trip to Charleston. The trip was more than we expected. The driver was excellent and provided information along the way. Each stop provided historical information. We would take the trip again. Price was well worth it.

I was really looking forward to this day trip, but the best way to describe it was hectic. Traffic was really bad and we were late getting to the carriage tour where I felt we were rushed and didn’t have time to truly enjoy Charleston. Then we had to rush to the boat tour which was nice once we got on the boat. Then the plantation was really nice just wish we had more time to explore the grounds. All over I felt rushed between each destination and I felt there was no guidance. The bus driver/tour guide didn’t talk to us or tell us much of anything and it felt very distant. I honestly wish I would have just driven to Charleston to explore it myself so I wasn’t so rushed.

This is a great trip. The bus ride was relaxing and our driver, Henry, was terrific. I would have to say the best part was the Carriage ride. The tour guide was so informative about every aspect of Charleston. And Carlos the horse, was fantastic. It is true, it would have been better to have more time at the market and to wander around on our own. The boat cruise was nice but the captain repeated everything we had just heard from the Carriage guide, so it was repetitive. The box lunch was delicious. The Boone plantation was nice..but you only get to see the first floor of the house as it is privately owned. Front hall,library, dining room, and enclosed porch. The tram ride(pulled by tractor) around the grounds was informative. All in all, it was a great day, a little bit of everything. I would highly recommend this trip.
