The instructors knowledge was incredible. He talked about the history of high line , how the air rights worked in the funding and he knew every building on the tour. Additionally he described the architectural visions and creations that has made the highline wildly popular and successful. Also he was professionally impartial about all there different architectural styles on view.

I took the architectural tour of Chelsea walking through the high line and had a wonderful experience. Our guide, Ivan, knew more than I thought one person could know. The walk itself was beautiful but it’s even better when you’re learning about the city’s history and about the buildings. We did get a little unlucky with the weather, it was a bit windy, but it was still worth it!

Experiencing the High Line and Hudson Yards through Ivan's craftsmanship and deeply felt passion/practice for public spaces, urban design and urban renewal was truly special. From Boston, my friends and I had come across the urban reform in the "meatpacking district." Yet understanding it in. breadth, through layers of the architects behind it, on the space itself, was truly a pearl. Fond of New York. Ivan's tours give you a totality with the city.
