The most irritating part of the trip was the guides asking for tips everytime you got down at an attraction, not less than 5 dollars! Also mire information about closing and opening times will be helpful..
Our family had never been to NY before, and we had a blast, and choosing the package of the 3-day Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour and the attraction passes was the best thing that we could have chosen. We really recommend it to anyone as their first experience in NYC.
This whole experience was difficult and frustrating to say the least. We decided to purchase the tour w/ 5 attractions to choose. Perfect, we were on a budget. They offered not only attractions like the Statue of Liberty and the Top of the Rock experience which were great, but also dining choices.. Not so great! We chose 3 places to eat off the booklet we were given. First Grotta Azzura in little Italy. The food here was great but once we said we said we were part of the tour the servers demeanor changed and we had our full menus removed and replaced with very limited menus with about 4 choices on them and a soda. After that the servers attitude sucked. Ok fine. Next place we get a cab about a 20 cab by the way down to the 9/11 memorial area because we were wanting to eat at our next choice Bills Burgers. Now we knew it was good cause we already had Bills shakes and fries because we didn't realize there are two Bills Burgers in New York and the first one we went to was at the Rockefeller center and not part of the tour menu..Our bad we should have read the address closer. Anyway we get down to the other Bills where there is supposed to be an option for us and they told us they were no longer a part of the tour menu options and didn't know why they were stl in the booklet..great! We not only had to pay for our food but now we spent almost 40.00 on a cab just to get there and back. We then had another stop Planet Hollywood, better attitude from the server by far but still hardly anything to choose from on the menu. We also tried to find stops to get on and off the buses which were also on the map we were given. We stood forever eating with our VIP lanyards around our necks only to have buses pass us and never stop or show. So more cab rides more money spent. And speaking of VIP what a joke they sold us this VIP extra for 50 more dollars to make our trip better yet when we showed it at the 2 places and received nothing VIP not even a shortened line. Never again!
