We booked a three day Sightseeing Pass with 5 activities per person but only has two full days to use it. However, this was our last two days of our 2 week holiday on the East Coast so we got up early each day and planned our activities for the day to see as much as possible, On the first day we started in Lower Manhattan, visiting the 9-11 museum (activity 1) and then took the Hop On Hop Off Ferry around the Statue of Liberty to Times Square. We then caught one of the open top buses to half way up Central Park and cycled around Central Park (Activity 2) before watching Waitress on Broadway and having ice cream at Amorino (neither used the pass). We got to bed around 1 AM and the next day walked to China Town and went up One World Tower (Activity 3) then travelled by subway to MoMA (Activity 4) and went up the Empire State building (Activity 5) which at sunset which was amazing. We then went for Chinese near Broadway and got back to the hotel about 11 PM and packed to leave at 5AM the next morning. Based on these activities we saved at least 30% on the standard activity prices but it also motivated us to keep going and we had a GREAT time. We would have used the bus more if we had three full days to use the passes but we arrived late the day before and left early on day 3. We didn't pay for any VIP passes and the Sightseeing Passes enable you to bypass the queues anyway. Also order the passes by phone and they sometimes offer a further discount

there will be plenty of people on the streets trying to sell you tickets, haggle them down to their lowest prices, we payed child price for 2 adults and were able to use our tickets for 3 days. we did the night tour, uptown, and down town tours plus the ferry to the statue of liberty. we thought it was great value for what we payed. beware though as most drivers expect a tip each time you jump off the bus,it could of got expensive we kept saying we had no change.

So we picked up these passes for our family visit to NYC. While we didn't hit a lot of sites the access to the double decker buses was nice. Downside is that you get a paper ticket to use on the buses so protect these as there's no replacement. Unfortunately we ended up on a monsoon cruise as it rained 2" while on top of the bus. Our tickets got soaked and became unreadable. I'm glad the attendant for the night cruise accepted the crumpled and disintegrating paper tickets for access. The other complaint is that the pass is just a pass to then go stand in line to get a ticket for the attraction. It would of been nicer to be able to skip ticket lines and use the pass. Just added time when trying to hit as many attractions as possible.
