This trip runs on Eastern Time.
You will get an amazing 3 mile tour just outside Chattanooga, Tennessee at Nickajack Lake and will learn about gray bats, osprey, cliff swallows, blue heron, and other wildlife. Your guide will discuss how they are all interconnected, what is being done to protect these wild animals, and what impact you can do to help the incredible endangered gray bat. We throw in a little history of the Tennessee River and how it became what it looks like today. With a grand finale of watching 100,00 gray bats leave the cave at sunset.

what a great experience to see these bats! guide was full of knowledge and cool. I have to use 100 characters so I am including this sentence. ;-)

This was great. It was a large group, but with 3 guides everyone got individualized attention. Everyone got pro tips at the beginning so it was suitable for all ages and experience with kayaking. No one was left behind and no one ended up in the water. We had about 2 hours and were able to see osprey and so many bats. We also got a good background of the history of the area and the ecological impact. Highly recommend!

Interesting, beautiful, well worth the money. Sam was our guide and he was super fun and knowledgeable. I learned some things about bats and it was absolutely gorgeous watching the bats fly at sunset. Highly recommended.
