The manta rays were wonderful, and we saw lots of them up close. But the information provided in advance was sorely lacking. There was no info on the ticket except where to meet- nothing about how to dress or what to bring- or not bring. Once in the boat, the explanation of what was going to happen in the water was minimal. If I hadn’t seen a photo ahead of time of what the set up looked like. - a photo that a friend had sent me- I’d have had no idea what was going on. The leader/boat captain seemed more interested in being cute and funny than he did in explaining things. The water was choppy and very cold and we had to swim to the viewing buoys. I’m an excellent swimmer but the shock of the cold water and the choppiness made it a very difficult swim. I’m surprised that they don’t give you life jackets to wear. The wet suit top they gave us was not early good enough to keep us warm. I was freezing the whole time. We did see a lot of rays and they were amazing and wonderful. The rest of the trip was not.
