This was one of the best experiences of my life. The crew was so nice and helpful the entire time and we saw so many rays. 10/10 recommend!

We had a large crew—10 of us!—scheduled for this once-in-a-lifetime experience and we couldn’t have picked a better team to go with than Hang Loose! They were so attentive to everyone’s needs. They explained what would be happening once we got there, they ensured everyone felt safe in the water. And for those who freaked out (which we had one in our group) they very calmly and without judgment helped get them back on the boat to watch. For those who just want to watch, you still get to see a lot! We had so many mantas come up by us, it was really an absolutely incredible experience. Spiritual, really. We even had my 4 yr old granddaughter along to watch on the boat and she loved it! Highly, highly recommend these guys. The warm shower afterwards was very welcome (you get a wetsuit jacket, snorkel/mask, and pool noodle for your feet so they don’t dangle). There was also chips and drinks. It was the highlight of our Hawaii trip!

What a surreal experience, we were not even at the platforms yet when we saw the first one. I was skeptical of what to expect and if we would see any mantas as it rained when we left the harbor. While boarding the boat you are provided with snorkel and mask as well as a wetsuit top. The boat ride was about 20 minutes and it took a few minutes till the platform was set up. We were divided in three groups based on snorkel and swimming experience, then you can jump in. After the short swim to the platform you will get a pool noodle under your legs to keep you floating, now you can enjoy the manta rays dance. Even though they swim by so close, you will hold your breath, there is no need to be scared, these are very gentle creatures. I would go again right away.
