Wandering up 5th avenue and after prizing my son out of the Apple Store opposite (quite cool underground bunker of a place) we were surrounded by hawkers at that bottom right hand corner of Central Park offering their laminated map tour routes. We wandered off, mulled over and returned with an offer of $100 flat for the long 50min trip which one guy snapped up. Asking price was $120. So not bad for four of us for almost an hour and the guy pointed out all the movie references filmed in the park including Madagascar which was interesting considering it was animated? But good giggle, horses looked about as interested in it all as I normally do when on holiday but they looked well cared for and less stressed than the cycle tour guys anyway! Oh and you stop by the iconic 'Friends' TV title sequence fountain too if you fancy a jump in front of it.
