Great cruise, lovely staff and plenty of cocktails to choose from, all nautical themed. I would definitely recommend this trip for either a nice hour sailing, or a good way to see the statue of liberty and a good vista of NYC.
The sailing was nice but I had assumed there would be narration as we sailed around the different point such the 9/11 area. I wanted that for my grandson to have the opportunity to hear about the sites as we sailed. It was a lovely day and the bar drinks were good. I just had hoped for a bit of "narration".
The good: You get to go up close to the Statue of Liberty and get a really nice look at her while not being on a packed boat like the ferries you see crossing over. And DRINK, everything is more fun with drinks. The boat itself is really cool, and is very clean.
The bad: This boat is not run by season sailors. The crew is what appears to be a bunch of college age kids. They don't seem to know what they are doing. I was sitting on the bench provided at the bow of the ship, and one of these kids starts tugging on the rigging, and the rope slammed into my knee. It hurt. He didn't so much as even yell a warning, or even noticed I had been smacked. The ship sailed in three circles near the statue, as if they couldn't figure out how to get back to the dock again.
This would be a much better tour if they had a crew of trained professionals.
