My family of four did the 12-2pm submarine scooter tour. There were 24 passengers on this trip and they're able to take 8 divers at once, each for 20-min at a time. We had to split up into 3 groups and took our turns.
We went the first group to do down and the water was a little rough when you first get into the water. There is a diver assigned to you at all times so he's super helpful in getting you into your submarine scooter and helping you maneuver while under water.
It is a little tough getting into your sub, you basically hang on to the sub and they drift you out about 10-feet away from the boat. From there, you dip your head under water and into the air bubble of the sub. My family had no problem with this and we had a great time underwater feeding bread out of a steal net to the fish.
They take great pictures of you while you're under water. The photos are $20 per person and an additional $20 if you want to buy the video as well.
Other groups didn't fare as well, as some of them were afraid of getting into the sub. On other passenger was claustrophobic and said he couldn't breath while he was inside the air bubble.
When we got done with our 20-min, we had time to go snorkeling while we waited for other groups to go into their submarine scooters.
The water was pretty choppy so we only snorkeled for about 5-,min. They did find a small octopus and a couple of starfish for us to play with.
We all got a little seasick during the last 30-min of the trip, while we were on the boat.
Overall, it was a really fun experience and the crew did a great job of taking care of us.
However, if you get sea sickness easily or have trouble with claustrophobia, you might want to take those into consideration before booking this tour.
