At first glance, we wondered whether the subs would be worth the cost, but the reviews pushed us over the edge, and I'm glad they did. It was one of the most fun, unique experiences we've ever had. We highly recommend it.
Neither one of us are great swimmers or snorkelers, so this was a great opportunity to get underwater and see all of the fish, turtles, and even an octopus and starfish. There was never anything to worry about as they had one diver for every person, plus a photographer and captain, so it was a huge crew (which probably results in the expense).
We were each out on the subs for 20 minutes. I wish we could have gone on our own to explore a bit more, but it was still fun. Other reviews have complained that it took too much time to line up the group photo, but if you go by yourself or in a small group of two or three, it didn't seem to take much time. The rest of the time is free to swim with the fish.
The fish were plentiful and beautiful, and come right up to you. We had a perfect day and the water was clear and bright, almost like being in a swimming pool.
The staff was friendly, helpful, patient, professional, and very organized.
