This activity probably deserved 3 stars but I took a star away because of the teenaged crew who quite frankly,..are just kids more into into yucking it up amongst themselves than speaking to the people aboard. Anyhow, I just want to be helpful so I will say, do this at your own descetion because when we went the current was so strong, that the first group of us did not enjoy anything at all. Within 30 seconds, I got pulled so far from the boat that I had to tap out and needed major help just making it back to the boat. My daughter was scared to get in the water so I won't fault the crew in any way for that. My wife was the only one in the first group who managed to brave the rough tide. She made it down but didnt see any fish. Please be aware. If the tides are rough on your day, people WILL get sick on the boat. Finally, the Captain was super nice and professional, but he has a job to do, which is to stay out there as long as it takes to make sure everyone gets a chance to experience the subs. But some of my frustration grew knowing that we could be late for another event we had planned in Honolulu at 4pm. I think things took a lot longer because of the rough water. Being in the first group, we took the brunt of it. The Captain did offer us to give it another try, but by this time we had already been out there way too long. One thing I would reccomend is that they have one sub available so that people can see how to go under and pop up in the air pocket, then grab the controls,..etc. For me, this is a one and done activity. Maybe your day will be better.
