This has been my bucket list for a long time and only to be disappointed. First, if your turn is not in the first half hour, you will be seasick 100% guaranteed! I am not easily seasick usually but since they made us wait for almost 2 hrs on the boat, of course you ll get sick. On our boat we have maybe 20-30 people I think and they only had a few scooter so you have to take turn. 1 person is about 20 mins, so just do the math yourselves how long you have to wait! What pissed me off the most is that, it doesn't matter how early you came to check in, they'd still let people who came later than you to go first. I was super pissed about it and they of course didn't care. I had a feeling that the guy who was in charge in assigning who goes next, on purpose put me towards the end because I asked if he can let my husband to go first in the water as he started to not feeling too well.
I never had motion sickness this bad ever in my life! I never thew up since I was in first grade but this was unbelievable! My husband threw up 10x and I am not even exaggerating. He hated the experience and this ruined the whole day for us (we were in 9 am tour). And note that 2/3 of the people on that boat either almost threw up or already did multiple times! And when I almost did, I started getting ready to jump in the water to try snorkeling hoping to get better, wearing goggles and fins and all, then the guy called me telling it's my turn now after waiting for almost 2 hrs.
When it's our turn, we jumped in and get inside the scooter, I was already nauseous. The first 5-10 mins, the diver guided us around before submerging us down, we didn't see a single fish! The motion was to one direction and it made me even more dizzy. Then after that, they brought us deeper about 8 ft down, then we started seeing fish. Only 2 different kinds though! The blue ones and the silver ones, that's it! When I snorkel somewhere else, I saw more fish than when doing this. Very very disappointing! My husband told me that he was super seasick while in the scooter so he threw up even more during the experience. Oh but the fish loved it though eating his vomit. Lol..
They had a diver took some pictures of us and we look like vampire, so pale and didn't look great at all. So yeah.. So much hope for this tour, only to be disappointed!
I read one of the reviews that if you didn't go first, you won't see anything near the surface, which is true and which is why I came earlier with the thought that they would assign it on first come first served basis but NO! You have to be super lucky to come later and get picked first. So good luck! This group who went first, got to see a school of dolphin and then a turtle swimming by them. So guys, maybe if you come late, they'll pick you first. :)
P. S. Bring your own gopro so they dont charge you $60 for videos and photos. Don't be a fool!
