This was a new tour for this company. They got so many great reviews on their other tours, I decided to give it a shot. I was worried that I might have wasted my money, especially since the road to hurricane ridge was closed, and it was kind of a wet day. I’m so glad I went, and was pleasantly surprised. Joel had obviously done his homework on the history, folklore, legends, and geology of the park, in addition to just knowing the best places to go, when the most popular stops were closed due to severe weather. Getting picked up from my hotel was nice, the 40 minute ferry ride was fun, and the actual tour was beautiful. There are so many impressive waterfalls, the forests are almost fluorescent with moss, and the diversity of mountains, crystal clear lakes, and tide pools, seem almost impossible to cram all into one day, but this tour has it all.
This wasn’t a tour for folks who can’t walk well. We must have walked 5 miles throughout the day, but I loved it, and recommend it to anyone who wants to get out and see nature.
