Extremely disappointed in the conduct of the crew of the Spirit of Adventure. I trusted them to have my safety as a priority and it clearly was not. Masking was not enforced in public areas at all and crew members were walking about unmasked. Their COVID policies are a joke. If Major Marine cannot follow Federal law on masking, then who knows what other laws they are not following? Is the crew trained properly? Is the boat safe? Probably not. They are profit driven and not at all concerned for the safety of their passengers.

We sincerely apologize that you were not comfortable on your cruise. Our crew is required to wear masks inside the cabin, and passengers are asked to wear masks inside when not eating or drinking. I can assure you that crew members were not walking around the cabin without masks on. On your particular trip, an announcement about our mask policy was made twice at the beginning of the cruise, and then again when passengers were coming back inside after viewing orcas. Unfortunately our crew members cannot be in all places of the boat at all times, and we do our best to help passengers have the best possible experience. Our crew is also very well trained by both captains and the Coast Guard. We do a thorough training on vessel and safety procedures at the beginning of every season and then have monthly drills throughout the year. Our boats are also inspected regularly by the Coast Guard and we meet or exceed all requirements. Our crew has been working very hard to clean railings, restrooms, and other high-tough surface areas during the entire trip. Thank you for taking the time to review your experience, and again we apologize that it did not meet your expectations. We hope that you were able to enjoy all of the wildlife and beautiful scenery of Alaska.

Fantastic day out on the water. Our captain and the crew took us into many different areas to see many different types of sea life. On this 4 hr trip we saw Orcas, sea lions, eagles, otters. Best trip ever

This cruise was really fun! We saw otters, a grey whale, puffins, seals, sea lions and orcas! The mother orca was nursing the baby, it was a delightful thing to see! The view of Bear Glacier was spectacular and the shorelines are beautiful. I felt it was important to the captain that we had the best possible views! The boat itself was spotless and the friendly crew was cleaning constantly. The captain told you what to expect on the cruise and gave you good tips and pointers to keep yourself safe. Snacks and drinks were offered at a reasonable price. I had a great time!
