Want to take your kids fishing, but don’t know where to start? New to the Washington, DC area and want to see what fishing we have to offer? In town for a work trip and you’ve got a free day to wet a line? Want a stress-free day on the water away from the daily grind?

I’m Captain Rich, and I want to take you fishing. My goal is to provide an affordable fishing excursion that helps both new and experienced anglers discover the joy of fishing in the local area. Fishing is an opportunity for you to bond with your family–when you take your son or daughter fishing you are away from the distractions of life. Fishing with your kids is a great opportunity to connect with them and really spend quality time. If you don’t know how to fish, but want to learn how so you can start building that quality time with your kids, I want to help you. On our trips, I want you to learn something new, catch some fish, and walk away with a great experience that you can share with your family.

Had a wonderful day out on the upper Potomac. My two teens and I landed 20 fish with some lovely smallmouth and three channel cats. What a great time and we learned a LOT from Captain Rich's instruction.

My son and I had an amazing time spending a day catching shad and catfish with Osprey Fishing Charters. Our guide was knowledgeable, flexible and patient with two inexperienced anglers. He went out of his way to make my son and I comfortable with the equipment and techniques we were using to catch the fish we were going for that day. We ended up catching close to 30 fish, including some “keeper” catfish that have been delicious. He even gave us a very helpful tutorial on how to clean and store them properly. If you’re looking for a fun day out on the water GO HERE! You will not be disappointed. Good restaurant right near the pier for lunch too!

From the moment I spoke to Captain Rich, I could tell he was going to provide the right charter for my 11yr old son and I. Captain Rich was incredible, not only did we catch 90 fish on our full day charter (shad, bass, and large cat fish), we learned a TON. Captain Rich was a natural with my son. He was a great teacher, patient, funny, and overall just an awesome dude. I am 100% going to go back out again. Because of my sons limited attention span ;-) the charter was geared towards catching lots of fish, and Captain Rich delivered!!! My son hasn't stopped talking about and thanking me for such an amazing day of fishing. Book the charter, see for yourself! I am positive you will not be disappointed.
