Our family (kids ages 13, 11, 9) had a fun and exhilarating time at Noah’s Ark, mountain views included. Noah’s let the kids do the adventure park alone with the parents standing on the sidelines. It was challenging, but our friendly guides Kate and Brendan supported the kids throughout the course. The kids all agreed that the best part was the big drop swing. You could buy the $10 big drop swing standalone ticket and still have a great experience. Lunch in the pavilion was good, especially the chocolate chip blondies.
For a drizzly 70 degree afternoon, a swimsuit and rental splash jacket ($7) and booties ($6) were perfect. You WILL get wet! Our expert guide Miriam was encouraging and informative about the scenery. She smoothly and skillfully steered the raft through Browns Canyon, both the 5 mile calm segment at the beginning and then the 5 miles of rapids. We also loved the jokes (and resident dogs!) on the bus back to Noah’s.
An FYI: if you also are sitting out an activity the kids are doing, Noah’s is a fun place to hang out: cornhole, shaded benches, a small cafe with treats ($5 crepes), a gift shop, and clean bathrooms! And if you are looking for a COVID cautious environment where most wear masks and sanitize, this is probably not the place.
