Egypt/Africa exhibits were the most interesting, unfortunately two areas of the museum were closed the day we went but great experience nonetheless.

The Museum has a large collection of antiquities and is very interesting. Unfortunately, two of the exhibits were closed when we visited - but no reduction in the price of admission. There is a parking garage adjacent to the museum. Because of a lack of adequate signage and the immense amount of construction in the whole area, it is virtually impossible to find the entrance to the garage. We spent 30 minutes circling the block looking for it. And for the privilege, you pay $17.

I expected it to be a good museum as I knew that it was home to the sibling of the Ram in a Thicket from the British museum but it exceeded my expectations. The Sumerian collection is their obvious forte, one of the most extensive I've seen, with some artifacts dating back to 6th millennium BC and objects from the royal burial of Ur. Also their Etruscan rooms and Canaan and Ancient Israel collections are terrific.
