Exciting flight and experience. From inflation to lift off to touch down, it eas fantastic. Jeff was very thorough in his explanations and the history of ballooning. I had a wonderful time.

This unique activity wasn’t originally on the bucket list but glad we randomly came across this opportunity! Captain and crew were amazing! Smooth experience from check in to balloon ride to landing! The captain was knowledgeable about the area. Beautiful views/fantastic experience. I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone!

A hot air balloon ride is on many people’s bucket list. My advice: If you are in the Phoenix area, cross this item off your list. We reserved a spot for the Wednesday, sunrise flight but unfortunately due to inclement weather the company had to cancel the flight and we rebooked for Saturday. (Tip #1 – Make your reservation for this activity early in your Phoenix trip. This allows you an opportunity to rebook if the weather doesn’t cooperate). The day of the excursion you meet at their office, complete your paperwork (signing the waiver), are assigned your pilot (Jeff in our case) and are transported by van to the take-off site. You observe the process of unpacking and inflating balloon & then you float on the wind currents and observe the countryside from above. (We experienced no turbulence, no shaking, just a perfectly smooth ride - and most important landing) Jeff was a great pilot and when he saw that we wanted a selfie photo, he maneuvered the balloon so that the photo had another balloon in the background. This the second balloon ride, I have experience, with the first being in Africa over the Serengeti Plains. I would rate Rainbow Ryders experience the superior of the two. Part of the reason is the number of balloons in the air. At one time, I counted 17 balloons in the air. This really adds to the experience and the Kodak moments. At the end of the ride, we toasted the adventure with Champagne and/or Mimosas. This excursion was definitely the highlight of our Phoenix trip.
