Our family took a sunrise balloon ride while on vacation in Scottsdale and highly recommend it! Our pilot Jesse was very experienced and enjoyable to listen to and talk to during the flight. We got up to about 2,000 feet of elevation and travelled 14 miles, taking in beautiful views of the desert and surrounding mountains. Enjoyed champagne and mimosas after a smooth landing. Highly recommended!

We booked a sunrise ride about a week in advance of our trip to Phoenix for Christmas. There had been crappy weather in the week or so before our arrival but we hit the sweet spot in terms of a sunny morning. Check in was easy - the space is modern and clean (much better than we anticipated to be honest). Our group was called (there were 12 or 13 of us in the group, plus the pilot because there had been so many re-bookings with the weather) and we loaded the van with Patrick, our pilot. We drove about 20 minutes to the launch site. There were about 10 balloons also taking off from the spot and it was really beautiful to watch it with the sun rise. The trip itself was beautiful. Our daughter is about 50 inches tall and she could see over the side of the basket. There were shorter kids in the basket so they were using the step stool. Patrick did find her something to stand on which gave her a couple of extra inches. She loved the experience ("especially the landing!"). Our landing was a riot as the wind speed was about 15 mph on the ground. So we took out some shrubs, dragged across the ground and ended up on our side. But Patrick explained how things were going to happen, so we were as prepared as we could have been. We hung out with champagne while the team gathered up the balloon and loaded up. The drive back was easy. We would absolutely do this again. Thumbs up to Patrick who was full of corny balloon jokes and helped us choose a breakfast spot for post-ballooning!

Our mission is to give our flyers an amazing experience that they’ll never forget while providing them with the safest flight possible. It’s always an amazing sight to see so many balloons launch around you, and despite the weather during the Christmas week, you picked a great day to fly with us. We’re happy to hear that your daughter enjoyed the flight as well! Landings do vary given the wind speed and we’re happy you had such a fun one. The pictures that you took are great! Rainbow Ryders does a great job with their professional pilots and great customer service. This is our second ride with them and last time they had a great brunch at the landing site. Disappointed they not longer have this but now take you back to their office for bagels and Danish. Not the same. Other companies still offer brunch.
