We scheduled online in advance. Once booked we began pondering what it would be like to ride a Segway transporter. Our Tour guide trained us quickly and was very knowledgeable about Pittsburgh's history along the tour. We arrived safely back where we started while gliding along the city streets amongst the foot traffic and all of the sights and sounds the city had to offer. . All of our Questions and concerns were answered, which reassured us that we were going to have a safe an enjoyable day while gliding on the Segway Human Transporter.

The good parts - We booked a trip online a month in advance. When you book, you do not need a credit card, at least you didnt when we booked around June 2010. The day came for our tour July 2010, we were on time, the tour guide met us there on time, opened the shop and we paid at that point with credit card. We paid the old fashioned way where she took a carbon copy of the card and I signed that slip. The tour guide was great, she took time to make sure we were all familiar with the Segway and away we went. The tour took us through the downtown area and across many bridges. She had alot of interesting facts about everything we saw while on the tour. To communicate, we all wore earpieces with volume control and she spoke into a transmitter. So, even while she can be in the front of the tour, the last person can hear all the info she is telling the tour about the sites along the way. We get back right at 2 hours later. It was really fun and we can't wait to go on a Segway again on our next trip in a different city. The bad parts - We were actually charged more for each person at the time of payment than was advertised online. I didnt catch it when I signed the slip above. I was caught up in the moment with my wife and friends and didnt do the math in my head. No big deal, it was about a $25 overcharge for me and my wife. Our friends were over charged too. I caught it the next week when looking over my account online. I called the folks at Segway in Paradise and they were pleased to get it straight, we shared emails to resolve it. But, they forgot about it. A week or so goes by I call again and get the voice mail. I send an emial and the guys responds saying, "he's sorry, but he is out of town and will have to get to it when he gets back into town", fine. Two a half weeks later I still dont get any email and no deposit, I send an email where I'm tired of being nice and ask simply to receive the refund with out further delay. Finally we get back the $20. Here's where it gets really interesting, it's Oct 1st 2010. I decide to look at my account before the weekend, guess what, I'm charged for the tour AGAIN ! The full price, not even the correct price, online advertised price. We call and leave messages that evening. Saturady the 2nd, we do get a call back, which based on the first experience, we didnt expect to get. So maybe there is some truth to the cause. They said it was a "Paperwork Confusion" that lead to the charge. Maybe thats true. I dont know. But, I didnt like it so thats why I have taken the time to write my review. It it 100% true. Buyer Beware, watch your account for charges that come form " Future Rides " Thats what all of the charges will come from if you use a credit card.
