I got to go to the late Portland Ghost Tour. It was at 10:30pm. FYI, if you do the late tour and it’s the full one, expect to be out until about 1am on the tour. Going into the tour, I was unaware of the dark history of Portland. It was very interesting and I learned a lot. My tour guide, sunny, was very good and knowledgeable of not only the stops on the tour, but most places we walked by that aren’t official stops. I very much enjoyed it. It is a must if you are visiting Portland, especially if you like spooky and creepy things. You will probably experience something paranormal along the tour. We did. Highly recommend it and I would definitely do it again!

I booked this tour because it was a tour that I had a lot of interest in, had really good reviews and seemed like a very good value for the money. This paranormal tour through the Portland region of US Ghost Adventures was a huge success in my mind. Our tour guide Jessica met us and we found out that we were going to have a private tour with her as no one else had booked the 10:30 p.m. tour. She started out by getting to know us a little bit and told us about the paranormal hunting equipment that she uses on her tours. The first thing was an EMF reader and the second was a thing called a Spirit box. We paid a slight up charge to be able to use the EMF reader throughout our entire tour. As we walked around the streets of Portland during the middle of the night, Jessica did an excellent job of telling us the history of Portland and the history of each building and business that has paranormal encounters. She told us about her personal experiences at each of the stops and what other people who have taken the tour had experienced as well. Adding on the ability to use the EMF reader throughout the entire tour was well worth the small up charge in my opinion. The reader ended up picking up a lot of paranormal activities throughout the tour, especially on 2nd Avenue down by the river. Overall, the tour was a really fun experience despite not being able to go into most of the buildings and businesses on the 10:30 p.m. tour because they were already closed for the day. That small piece was a little bit of a disappointment because it didn't end up being as hands-on engaging. However, it didn't take away from the tour too much. I would highly recommend booking this tour, especially if your guide ends up being Jessica. She made the experience a lot more fun. I might suggest booking a time slot earlier than 10:30 p.m. however.

The tour guide was great, well versed in the lore and history of Portland's haunted spots. However, we only stood outside the buildings to talk about the spots. I thought we might peek at Nina's booth and the tunnels entrance, get inside the Kell to see the staircase. We were "lucky" to go inside the Bensen. So, to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. Again, guide was great, just unfortunately you can't SEE much.
