Przegląd
Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. You get 1.5 hours at the park, but don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

  • The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
  • All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
  • A moderate amount of walking is involved.
  • No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
  • Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes

This was the most amazing experience ever!! The crew is fantastic, Sam, Jayden and the captain are super nice. They explain everything, they shared information and fun facts about whales. And we got to see like 10 whales jumping, splashing, waving. It was just amazing.

We booked this tour to ensure we had enough time at Mendenhall Glacier and the whole experience was amazing. We had a friendly bus driver who took us out to Auke Bay and pointed out interesting sights in Juneau along the way. He also told us about life in Alaska, such as how the high school kids use the ferry system to get to their sporting events. Once in Auke Bay we joined Captain T, McCall, and Lucas and started our search for whales. It didn’t take long to find McCall’s favorite whale lunge feeding right in the harbor! We had beautiful views on a gorgeous sunny day and found a few other spots with whales, including a playful calf rolling around and waving. We sailed north to Benjamin Island and saw tons of sea lions. Lucas also pointed out bald eagles and views of glaciers. Two hours on the water was a good amount of time with lots of great wildlife viewing. After the whale watch we took another bus to Mendenhall Glacier and could spend as long as we liked there (as long as we made sure to catch a bus back before the last bus at 6:30). We walked out to Nugget Falls and the glacier photo point and also walked around the stream trail. We had time to visit the Visitor Center and watch the movie. It was a perfect day and this tour made Juneau our favorite port stop on our cruise.

Thank you Sam, Brock and Brennan for a wonderful tour. Many whales and sea lions! Highly recommend! And don’t forget the bald eagles…too many to count!
