I have been on a lot of wildlife watching tours and this by far exceeded any I have been on. The boat captain took his time to make sure we got to see whales in action and boy did we!! This excursion has been the highlight of our trip so far. When I come back to Sitka, I plan to book this tour again. Sitka Expeditions is the tour to book!

We had a great day exploring the waters around Sitka. We saw a sea lion, sea otters, eagles and 4 or 5 whales. We loved getting out of town and on a small boat to get a semi-private tour. There was just one other family and us with Captain Parker. He was very professional, communicated well and was kind and helpful. We would definitely choose this excursion again. Side note, we were visiting from our Royal Caribbean cruise ship which docs outside of the city. We road the free shuttle along with hundreds (if not thousands) of others from the pier into Sitka where we met Captain Parker down on the waterfront. The tip I would give is to give yourself plenty of time (maybe an hour) from getting off the cruise ship because even though the ride is only 15 minutes into Sitka, the lines to get on the shuttle were very long. There were probably 300 people in lines ahead of us even after they called us by groups off the ship. So it took us at least a half hour from the time we disembarked to the time we got in the shuttle. The shuttle dropped us off at the Pavilion right on the waterfront and next to the dock where we met Captain Parker so finding him was very easy. Overall a very enjoyable day.

Our tour was awesome!! Parker was very knowledgeable and knew exactly where to take us to see whales, otters, and jumping salmon. The hoat was great and very comfortable. We would highly recommend Sitka Expeditions!
