If you are short on time (or even if you are not), this bus tour is a must. Heather was our tour guide and she was so knowledgable about the area, the environment, the park and Bar Harbor history! We learned so much and had such a relaxing time as Heather did all the navigating. The bus is very nice, looks new, and has many windows all around. Sitting on either side is good; however, sitting on the left is probably best. The scenery was ridiculously beautiful. There are four stops. Each stop gives you about 20 minutes to get out, walk around, take pictures and use the rest room. That doesn't seem like a very long time; however, for us, this was just to learn where we wanted to go back the next day. They do provide water bottles on the bus, but we brought our own. It may be a good idea to bring a snack too. It was 3.5 hours, but you are engaged the entire time. It went very quick, but was so memorable. The next day we went back to Jordan Pond and walked (hiked) around the pond. I am so glad we went on the bus tour because every other area was so crowded it was really hard to find parking.
