Private Arctic Circle Expedition from Fairbanks

Przegląd
This is a small, private tour to the Arctic Circle. Passengers will be riding in a comfy 2025 Toyota Sequoia and brand new winter tires.

Scheduling on the website is a bit tricky and doesn't allow for next day returns, just keep in mind the trip will take 10-12 hours depending on weather and how much time you'd like to spend at each location.

We'll be travelling through mountain passes, river valleys, and possibly seeing the Northern Lights along the way.

This tour is flexible and allows for you to request a stop anywhere along the way to stretch your legs, take photos, or even just enjoy the views.

Pickup Time is completely customizable to work with your schedule!

Ian was punctual and very professional. It's a long trip but so worth it to be able to enter the Artic Circle!!

We chose this trip since it was personalized. Two of us were picked up by our guide, Ian. He was very knowledgeable about the area/history and an excellent driver through the icy/snowy mountains. His car was comfortable. We expected to go to the Arctic Circle, and then chase the Aurora lights on the way back to town. We were picked up at 9 am and got to the Arctic Circle by 2:30ish. Needless to say, it was still too light to see any lights there or on our drive back to the Yukon Camp restaurant where we ate dinner. By the time we finished eating, it was dark enough to see the lights. The sky was clear, but we were told we had to head back since Ian had a tour the next day. As we drove back, we stopped a few times, but it was very cloudy. We did not see any lights. If you book this tour, know that is to take you to the Arctic Circle, not necessarily to see the Northern Lights.

My mom and I had an AMAZING time on this tour! Ian was the best tour guide ever -- I think he knows something about just about every topic and was able to answer all of our questions and curiosities about life in Alaska and the Arctic, as well as being great company for the entirety of the journey. Ian's vehicle was outfitted with safety features and we felt safe and taken care of the whole time, despite the rugged terrain and freezing temps! Ian also made sure we had the best opportunity to see the aurora (which we got to see!). He didn't stop at a usual viewing stop because it was clouded over, and drove on towards clearer skies. Once we found clear skies and saw a glimpse of the aurora, he looked up forecasting data, and when he saw that there was an increased chance of seeing it if we waited, he offered to stay and wait -- and it was worth it! The aurora came out in full force and we wouldn't have had this amazing experience if Ian hadn't been willing to find the best viewing spot and add extra time to our trip back in order to maximize our chance of seeing it. We had the absolute best time and I recommend Ian and this tour to anyone!
