The ride was good ,the driver fine. and he was there before we arrived. He was suppose to meet us inside the airport after we called to say we had arrived but he went inside after we had went outside to call him and then he wondered where we were. We did hook up but there were a few issues. Carmel's web site does not give the complete picture of the fees. I have copied and pasted what is on there site about fees and charges: - Tolls & Tip not included in Base Fare* Includes fee for Inside Pickup* Airport Fee Applied. There is not a word that you would be charged an outrageous parking fee. The driver should have waited in the Cell Phone Lot and not come to the terminal until he was called. Instead he parked in some short term parking that we had to walk 3 blocks to get to the car dragging our bags along the way. As we left he said there would be an $ 18.50 parking fee which was undisclosed on there web site. This is a direct copy from the Airport Parking Short Term Parking Drive-Up Rate Prebook Rate (Book At Least 48 Hours In Advance) 1/2 hour $5.25. There is an additional $ 35 fee to be picked up inside If that's not for parking and drawing a sign I'm not sure what it is for ,it only caused us to drag our bags across a parking lot and be charged an additional $ 18.50 on top of the $ 35 inside fee. I called and complained about the parking fee that was undisclosed and far more than the Liberty Airport's advertised parking fee of $ 5.25. They told me there was another undisclosed $ 10 parking fee for inside pick-up . Again directly from their website - Tolls & Tip not included in Base Fare* Includes fee for Inside Pickup* Airport Fee Applied. They were so kind as to Send me a Coupon for $ 8.00 off my next ride but with a one year expiration date. I would never use their service ever again.

I am unable to recommend this service. I booked and payed for the service ahead of travel, however when my husband, 2 children and I arrived at JFK we called to inform service we had arrived but the person who answered was not helpful at all. I then used the text message and was able to access the service. We were picked up and taken to our Manhattan hotel. The driver was reckless and we almost got into an accident with a bus. In addition at the end of the journey the driver then informed us that we owed him 20 percent gratuity plus the toll. I think gratuity is earned but we gave him the tip anyway. We will NOT be using this service again. Suggestions: 1.Tolls should be included in the overall fee. 2. Driver should meet clients once details of flight is known and pre-payment is received. There should be no need to call or text. 3. Gratuity should be earned not expected. 4. Drivers should be cognizant of their passengers and drive with care.
