Prywatna wycieczka psim zaprzęgiem

Przegląd
Start this 2-hour tour by getting geared up for the cold weather. You’ll then head into the dog yard and play with the dogs while the staff harnesses up the team. After a little instruction, you’ll take off for about an hour on a 6.5-mile trail, with a stop halfway to take photos of Mt. Denali if it’s visible. You’ll take turns driving the sled (with an experienced musher on hand!). Then return back for some cocoa and cuddling with retired sled dogs.

Overseeing the operation are Rohn and Alyssa Buser. Rohn is a 3x Iditarod finisher and champion of multiple mid distances races. He is the son of Martin Buser, who has won the Iditarod 4 times and has the record for the most Iditarods (39 times), so Rohn literally grew up riding sleds!

The dogs of Susuitna Sled Dog Adventures are more than working dogs, they are our family. We love sharing their passion with others and hope you leave our home filled with as much admiration and respect for these amazing animals as we are.

My friend talked me into the night dog sledding experience. And im so glad she did. If you want breathtaking views, this isn't it. If you want to feel what it is like for most sled teams and what they really do (which is often night work), this was so cool. Now, we had a great night. It was I. The mid-20s were so not horribly cold, and the moon was out lighting up the snow and trees. When you pull up, the place looks a little rough, but the people and the dogs are super friendly. I've been around working dogs. These dogs were amazing, just wanting so many pets and so happy to be selected to be on the team (they use a rotation, which is awesome). They have around 60 dogs. Now, for those of you who don't know. They are tied out with their own little house. These dogs love the cold, and sledding is what they love to do. If it bothers you seeing a bunch of dogs tied out individually with a dog house, stay home. These dogs are very well cared for mad it is obvious by their demeanor and how happy they all were. The owner and the other musher, Nathan, were wonderful, happy to explain or answer any questions. The experience on the trail was a little over an hour. Bundle up. They also have some spare outer gear if you need another layer. One person rides o. The back the other sits in the sled. Halfway through, you switch if you want. If in Alaska I highly recommend it. The trails were amazing. We even passed another munching team out for a run, and it was amazing to see how the dogs work. Worth every penny for this girl.

My wife, my mother-in-law, and I all went dog sledding with this company. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had while traveling anywhere! Our musher/guide, Nathan, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about his work. You can tell that the kennel truly cares about their dogs, and the experience is better because of it. We had plenty of time to meet and greet with the dogs and never felt rushed to do anything. They even had warm gear like boots, coats, and gloves for us to borrow in case we needed anything additional! We got to pet the dogs while Nathan set everything up. Two of us sat while one of us stood, and Nathan was in control from the back speaking commands for the dogs while telling us all we wanted to know about mushing. The trail was absolutely beautiful and it was even snowing! It was a pretty perfect experience and we all highly recommend this company.

We had a spectacular time sledding with Rohn and his dog team. The location is incredible, so serene and peaceful. Views of the mountains were so beautiful. Rohn was a great guide, we were in good hands and he answered all our many questions! Alyssa was so helpful and even rescheduled us when needed. The ride was exhilarating and they are a top knotch business. The fact that it is a family business - 2nd generation Iditarod is great . The dogs are so sweet and energetic too, well cared for and happy - you could tell they were thrilled to be out running. This was one of my favorite activities in Alaska! Do yourself a favor and book with them - it’s well worth it.
