Przegląd

Whether you are an amateur or a professional, this Private Photo Safari is the best way to photograph Everglades National Park’s wildlife. A very stable, flat-decked power boat is your shooting platform. Using an electric trolling motor, your guide will position you for the best shots. Unlike a shared tour, on a private tour, you and your shots are our only concern.

When shooting outdoors, lighting is extremely important. Lighting is best in the mornings and late afternoons. We depart before sunrise in the morning to be in position as soon as there is enough light to shoot. In the evening, we return after sunset. Since sunrise and sunset times vary throughout the year, we will contact you prior to your tour to arrange the actual meet time.

Our guides are on the water every day, year-round and have a good idea of the wildlife patterns. They can get you in position while the lighting is good.

Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Everglades National Park

Most of the 1.5 million acres in the Everglades National Park are flooded and essentially out of reach for average photographers and birders. But, not on this private experience. This Photo Safari opens up the vastness of the the Everglades. Lighting conditions are important early mornings and late afternoons are best. On the morning tours, we depart before sunrise and on the afternoon tours we are back after sunset. Many photographers enjoy shooting while standing in the water or on a remote sand beach. We encourage our guests to stay overnight locally as we arrive back at dark on the afternoon tours and leave at dawn in the mornings.

Chokoloskee Bay

All private photography boat tours are customized based on your desires, the season, the wildlife and the weather. A flat-decked boat with room for a tripod is your platform. Your guide will position the boat as your require for the best shots for you and one guest.

Terrible directions to meeting sight. Ended up taking wrong boat and paying twice. Owner not interested in customer service

Let me summarize… -You booked online 1/27/23 with your American Express at 2:23 -A confirmation email with the address and link to directions on Google Maps was sent, delivered and opened also within a minute (also at 2:23)’ -Two days before your tour a reminder email was sent, delivered and opened at 2;19 -The day of your tour, you did not show up, you did not call and you did not email -We called you to see if you were going to make it. --No response. -We held up the tour departure and our other guests for 10 minutes...the same guests who read the confirmation and arrived 15 minutes before the departure time. With nothing more that we could do, the tour was conducted without you. -AFTER the tour was over you showed up at our shop and said that you did not know where to meet us and that it was our fault that you did not show up. -You were offered to be rebooked on a later tour. -You stated that you went with another tour provider and went on their tour and would not “go on another” tour -You contacted me, the owner, via phone saying that your confirmation did not have the address on it. -I asked you to forward the confirmation and reminder email to me. -You refused -I resent the confirmation and reminder emails to myself to verify that the address and direction link were on the emails … they were, of course. You emailed on 3/23 @ 2:44 saying that you “get dozens of emails and I recall it reminding me of the upcoming tours. Did not read all the details”. -I responded back, again requesting that the emails be sent to me. -Later that day, you emailed back saying that you “run it past American Express to get their views. -I responded back, at 5;23 am the following morning, that I was simply requesting you to forward the confirmation emails to me so I could ascertain any problems. Again, no email response. -Your response was this review. Folks PLEASE read your confirmations and PLEASE call if you need ANY help. PS ... This is NOT the tour that you booked.

My husband and I just took 2 private excursions in the Everglades with Aquaterra, one in the evening before sunset and the other early in the morning around sunrise. We were very lucky to have beautiful weather for both since we had booked well in advance. We highly recommend doing both since they were equally wonderful but somewhat different experiences. The light at both times of day is perfect for photography and the scenery is just gorgeous. It’s very peaceful and the captain will customize the experience to your wishes, while making sure that you don’t miss key wildlife viewing spots and the best vantage points for photos. In the evening we went out with Captain Dan and in the morning with Captain Charlie. Both were delightful with good senses of humor. They are highly knowledgeable and offered lots of interesting information about the ecosystem and animals, as well as sharing stories. In addition to a plethora of beautiful birds, we spotted dolphins with a very young baby and its slightly older sibling. We didn’t chase them and they came quite near to the boat. In the morning raccoons come to the shore to forage. One of our favorite sights was an osprey carrying off a catfish she had just caught. In the evening we saw one crab boat at a distance. In the morning more fishing boats passed by, but we were still entirely by ourselves most of the time. Don’t forget binoculars and a camera with a good zoom lens. A sweater or light jacket is helpful as it can get a bit chilly on the water, especially around dawn and dusk. The boats are comfortable and the captains skippered them expertly. The excursions exceeded our high expectations. Very highly recommended!

We saw dolphins and manatees. All sorts of birds. Went shelling on two different barrier beaches as well as playing in the water. Boat toured numerous islands. Awesome 3 1/2 hours.
