Our tour guides are locals and we know lots of fun facts and history of the sights we show. We do research on each point of interest in order to give you interesting stories. Because our tour is on bikes we can show you Channel Drive and State Street Promenade which can't be accessed by car. Our comfortable and fun electric bikes let you see more in less time. You'll love the 360 degree view of downtown and the coastline from the Courthouse tower and the story of how it was built. We'll tell you the story behind the sights including the interesting people involved. We love telling you about our favorite restaurants and ice cream stores. Some of them are off State Street and don't even have any signs. We ride right through the neighborhood our owner grew up in. Many people say our tours are the highlight of their trip to Santa Barbara.

As one of our excursions on our recent California coast cruise, we went on an amazing 2.5-hour bike tour with American Riviera Bike Tours and Rentals in Santa Barbara. The tour started just a short walk from the beach and the cruise ship terminal. Mike, the owner and a very experienced cyclist, gave us a wonderful tour along a very beautiful stretch of beach as well as the main highlights of town. The e-bikes were new and high quality. Mike made sure we were all comfortable and took time beforehand to memorize our names. Santa Barbara is a gorgeous city and we learned so much about it from Mike, who is also a native of the area. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a day or two to spend in Santa Barbara. My 14-year-old daughter said at the end of the tour that “this is the most fun I have ever had on a bike!” and I totally agree with her. This bike tour ended up being the highlight of our cruise and time together. Thanks, Mike, for an incredible and memorable day!
