Was a great experience all around, from the down to earth Captain Lukas to the overall experience with his knowledge and patience. We had quite the variety of fish and enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Definitely would book with Captain Lukas again.

Absolutely great time. Our group had an amazing time. Each of us got the chance to catch. As a group we caught plenty of fish. It was a blast.

We booked with Ketchikan Fishing Charter for an upcoming cruise through Pacific North West. When we booked we were immediately contacted regarding the reservation. They were kind and courteous, and we spoke briefly regarding the upcoming trip. On the day of the fishing charter, I was contacted by Jake who is co-owner of the company. Jake met us at the port and was on time and friendly. Jake took us over to the boat which was super clean and geared for action. We soon learned that Jake possessed the wit of a seafaring Will Ferrell with the grizzled looks of a comedic red headed Viking. He made us laugh the whole time. He took in our sarcasm and rolled with it. He made us feel at home and my kids loved it. Not only did he possess a quick wit, knowledge of local animals, and a keen eye on ocean conditions…..he is one HELL of a fishing captain. He scouted out the spots and within 2 minutes of dropping lines, we had 2 hook sets. HUGE HALIBUT came aboard and JAKE WAS STOKED! High 5’s and fist bumps all around. Jake is my type of captain…..hooked on the fishing LIFE!!! Capt. Jake always baited and watched rods with a keen eye. Being new to Alaska fishing and not seeing bites, Jake moved around the deck like a NIMBLE JUNGLE CAT, grabbing and helping set hooks, all the while watching boat position and tides. Shortly we had limits of Halibut On to Salmon fishing!!!! Jake took us over his spot and while DROPPING outriggers, both poles immediately hooked up. After brief battles, a NICE KING SALMON and pink salmon were on board. To say we had a good time is an understatement. WE HAD AN INCREDIBLE TIME with Capt. Jake and Ketchikan Fishing Charters. I DEFINITELY recommend this company….you won’t be disappointed. I WILL BE BACK!
