If you are are the fence do not hesitate. Do not look at the price and say ehhh let’s opt for the cheaper group tour. Just book a tour with DTours right now. If you’re anything like me you spend hours when you should be sleeping scouring reviews and planning your trip. You ho and hum over options and maybe even make a “what should we do” post. I did just that with our Atlanta trip. We finally settled on booking this stranger things tour and then later found out they do Marvel tours, Walking Dead tours, history tours and you can even make your own combo with whatever your little heart desires. Had I known this we would have just booked an 8 hour day and went to see ALL the things. Melinda was our guide for the morning and it was love at first sight. We had pickup right outside our hotel doors in Decatur and she dropped us at the zoo when we were done so we didn’t have to Lyft or Uber. Who goes above and beyond like that anymore?! She is genuine, authentic and an all around down to earth gal. The woman is a walking talking (driving) film encyclopedia and even schooled us on all the insider industry lingo and operations. Wonder how extras work? Ask Melinda. I would hands down take a tour with her if we return to Atlanta. We saw so many film sites, got updated on the new seasons about to drop and got glimpses of things we didn’t even know were there (like the Marvel headquarters, folks). Seen the movie Baby Driver? Book with Melinda and she’ll tell you all about how they filmed it. We also got to meet the tour owner, Dan, while we were out at the lab as he too had a family touring. While our exchange was short he too was a laid back good guy. They’re a small biz and their service is too notch. I would highly recommend. My only regret is we didn’t book both slots for the day. Better than expected! Our tour guide (Mickey) was an ATL native and grew up with family (and his own) experience in the industry - made the tour richer as he shared tips and tricks of the industry as we visited spots. This trip was planned for a 13-year old boy and his mom and this mom is very happy to report that it hit the mark!! "Best part of the trip" - 13 year old. I call that a huge win. Pick up at hotel option was appreciated! Also loved that he showed clips that brought the scenes back to life in my head (my son already knew much of it!) We would definitely book with DTours again and this experience would be a draw to come to Atlanta again! Much more to see, as we learned, Marvel, Walking Dead, etc.

We had an AMAZING adventure with our guide Mickey! He was very fun and had tons of information to share. We enjoyed venturing to the Stranger Things locations. The tour exceeded our expectations and I would absolutely recommend this tour ….. I don’t know if their is more than one tour guide, I would ask for Mickey!! You won’t be disappointed. Each location you are able to get out and take pictures. Mickey is great at showing you the best focal point to recreate scenes from the show.
