My daughter (who is 12) and I went on the Stranger Things tour. We got to see many film locations and learned a lot of great facts from our tour guide Chris. This was definitely worth the money!

My 11 year old daughter and I are Atlanta residents and (casual) fans of Stranger Things. My daughter couldn’t quite wrap her head around the fact that the show is filmed in the Atlanta area, so I booked this tour to give her an inside look at the various filming sites. It did not disappoint! We had a wonderful four hours with Melinda, who drove us all over the metro area to see many sites from the show (the lab, the pool, the gym, the kids’ houses, etc etc etc - surprised how much we saw, actually). As Atlantans, we probably could have gotten to the sites on our own, but it would have taken twice the time (not all are easy to locate) and we wouldn’t have had someone showing us the scenes where the location was used. Melinda was ready with an iPad full of clips to put each site into context. All in all, a great parent/preteen activity if you both enjoy the show, and a fun way to be a tourist in your own town. Highly recommended!

The wind and rain only added to the sense of mystery and excitement as the five of us—including our three older teens—bundled up and fit (albeit snugly) into Chris’s Kia for a really fun tour. Be forewarned you’ll fall in love with and want to watch the series all over again, looking for new details, like the Sheriff sign in front of the Hawkins “library.” What you get for your money is personalized attention from a great guide. In our case, Chris was not only an encyclopedia of Stranger Things—and other Atlanta TV/film/historical—lore, he is also an all-around nice person who understood when my son chose to rest in the car (due to jet lag), and honored my daughter‘s plea to keep the last stop a secret—while humoring her with clues:) Chris was also clear re logistics like traffic (out of his control but he rerouted to surface streets, which kept us moving), bathroom / food breaks, and where to take pictures while still respecting the privacy of home and business owners. Thanks again, Chris, our teens are still talking about it!
