Escape from the crowded tourist areas for a private, 90-minute surf lesson for a group of 3-to-5 people near Lahaina, Maui. Choose from an early-, mid-, or late-morning time frame. This surf session will focus on water safety, proper surf technique, surfing style, and etiquette. The experienced, professional instructor guarantees students will stand up, catch a wave, and leave the beach as a certified surfer. All lessons are private so they will never combine guests from separate parties. All the necessary equipment — rash guard, state-of-the-art soft-top board, and reef shoes — included.

We were actually a family with mom and 2 daughters ages 25 and 21 for the lesson. Our 17 year old daughter had hurt her foot and we were great appreciative by their willingness to cancel her lesson since she was unable to stand easily. Kody was a FABULOUS instructor and even though we've all surfed multiple times before he went through the surfing instructions knowing us vegas girls needed a refresher course before taking on the waves! We appreciated Kody's text the day before giving us his location, since they changed it due to the conditions, and the ability to easily reach him the day of the lesson since there were so many cars at the location of the surf site and it was a bit hard to find him. He made it super easy for us! Great company with a great instructor with great boards!

Our family took surf lessons from Eric. My wife backed out due to motion sickness but my 13 and 15 year old sons and I had a great time. I would highly recommend surf lessons with Rivers to the Sea.

Eric, Kody, and Justin took great care of our whole family! We had a large group with adults and children. They had us all looking good on top of those boards. Our youngest felt as ease with Eric...he really was so patient with her and ensured that she had a wonderful experience. Everyone in our party loved it! Perfect way to enjoy our Easter morning. Thanks again.
