Escape from the crowded tourist areas for a private, 90-minute surf lesson for a group of 3-to-5 people near Lahaina, Maui. Choose from an early-, mid-, or late-morning time frame. This surf session will focus on water safety, proper surf technique, surfing style, and etiquette. The experienced, professional instructor guarantees students will stand up, catch a wave, and leave the beach as a certified surfer. All lessons are private so they will never combine guests from separate parties. All the necessary equipment — rash guard, state-of-the-art soft-top board, and reef shoes — included.

Kody gave my adult kids and I an epic morning learning to surf fir the first time. He was caring in choosing the location and was clear and concise in the instruction all leading to all of us getting up on the board to catch many waves! Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough great things about Kiva! He fit us in on super short notice after our original surf instructor from another company did not show and he was so nice about taking us in. It was clear he had a lot of experience teaching surfing, as we all were able to stand and ride a wave after the first couple tries! He watches you and then tells you exactly what you need to do in order to improve, and is very patient and positive. In addition, he was such a fun and nice person! We ended up doing another surf lesson with him later in the trip because we enjoyed our time with him so much. Will definitely be booking lessons with him again on our next trip to Maui. I cannot recommend booking with him enough!

We had a great time with Kyler as our surfing instructor. Would highly recommend Rivers to the Sea and Brad at Swell Media Maui for great photos of our surfing adventure!
