Przegląd
Explore the worlds most active volcano with one of our professional, award winning guides - get away from the big bus and van tours and get out into the field to visit areas that few visitors get to see while visiting Hawai'i island!

No gift shops, no restaurants, no long drives around the island in a van to visit areas you can explore on your own. No gimmicks and no frills - all of our time is spent exploring the amazing active volcanoes of Hawai'i island! We offer only active, education based explorations that focus on topics such as Geology, native flora and fauna, and the amazing Hawaiian culture that still thrives on the volcano today.

Our tours are family friendly, easy to book and leave our guests with a deepened understanding of the science and the culture of Kīlauea. See the best of the volcano with several moderate walks throughout the day. Our National Park tours allow guests the convenience of using their own vehicle as opposed to a large bus or van.

The private tour was amazing! We were met by Eric, our guide, in the lobby of Volcano House and went over some administrative tasks and then started on our hike. He asked if we wanted to hike or drive around to various sites, we decided to hike and he suggested an appropriate course. The hike was a loop that took almost 2 hours and almost 7 kms along the Crater Rim and Sulphur Banks Trails of the Kilauea Caldera in the Volcanoes National Park. The pace was perfect, allowing for questions and photos along the way. Eric was super informative and pointed out interesting facts as we made our way along the trails. He had a binder of slides that showed us the different types of lava, how the volcanoes and cinder cones were created, the different species of birds and vegetation in the park, and other interesting pieces of information. After the hike, Eric suggested places to eat and other trails to fill up our time in the afternoon. He circled the points of interest on the park map so that we would have a point of reference. This felt like one of the best field trips that I've ever had. I would highly recommend Kilauea EcoGuides and Eric

This Private Eco Tour within the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park was absolutely amazing! Eric was a great guide: he set the perfect paste to lead the path on our trail and explained everything about the Kilauea volcanoe, local fauna and flora as well as what is native or not to Hawaii. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Eric also provided suggestions for local restaurants and more hiking trails to continue admiring the scenery after we parted ways. I highly recommend this Private Eco Tour!

Erik guided us on one of the best activities we did over the course of our 3 weeks on the Hawaiian Islands. He was so generous and patient in sharing his knowledge about geology, the local flora and fauna, as well as Hawaiian Polynesian culture that the hike gave us a ton of dimension and context through which to understand the incredible landscapes we saw - not only those at Volcanoes National Park, but also at other locations we had previously visited or would visit later on. This relatively easy hike was absolutely worth it. Malia helped ensure that logistics and communications were smooth, so we were well prepared in advance. I couldn’t imagine doing this trek any other way. Thank you, Kilauea EcoGuides for an experience of a lifetime!
