We skip the highway and take advantage of the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway as we venture into the woodlands en route to some of the BEST waterfalls in Asheville! You'll leave with a stick in your hair and unforgettable memories.

Jennifer was great! Everything was so professional from the moment I contacted the tour company. Eventhough the tour we wanted to book wasn't available on the day we planned for, because we had 5 people, she offered a private tour through the BRP for me and my girfriends. She picked us up at our hotel, was VERY patient (with a group of middle aged women, that can be hard to do) and brought us back all in the specified time frame! She was very knowledgeable about the area, wildlife, flora, trails and falls. She even cracked a few corny jokes along the way! She packed us lunch, snacks and water, making sure to cover all common dietary needs. Hiking with Jennifer was like hiking with one of the gals, she fit right in. I will be recommending Asheville Hiking Tours to all my friends. Thanks again Jennifer!

We wanted a private guide on the Appalachian Trail. We were hesitant as to our physical ability to hike up to the AT. I’m 60 and a bit “fluffy “ to say the least.. . Jennifer pick us up at 8:30 and drove us up to Carver Gap to hike up to the AT. We were expecting rain and she brought light weight ponchos just in case... She provided a yummy lunch of sandwich and apples. We hiked up to Round Bald at 5826 ft. She was very conscious of watching to make sure we were able to keep up with her spunky pace. She was also awesome in explaining interesting factoids regarding the flora and fauna. The view was spectacular. We stopped for lunch and then started back down. This was our second hike with Asheville Hiking tours and we couldn’t be happier. They don’t just walk your butt to somewhere, they are fully engaged with their group and give you history of the area and explanations of why certain plants are found at certain altitudes. We found this to really make the hike spectacular!

We thoroughly enjoyed our hiking and waterfalls tour with Bill! June is a beautiful time of year to tour these mountains and this tour is definitely a must do! Bill was most informative, personable and very knowledgeable so it made our experience both educational and fun! Thank you for an amazing tour! Geaux Tigers!
