Choose your own adventure! You pick the distance (6-10 miles on average), terrain, scenery, and difficulty for a spectacular day in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Abundant waterfalls, the highest peaks east of the Mississippi, and the prettiest views you'll find in the South are all at your disposal off the Blue Ridge Parkway, on the Appalachian Trail, or hidden deep Pisgah National Forest.

Price includes your guide and a picnic lunch; please specify dietary restrictions when booking. Trekking poles are provided upon request. Transportation is not included, but can be added for an additional fee (depending on availability).

We hike rain or shine! We will cancel the hike in the event of dangerous weather.

Blue Ridge Hiking Company has been in business for 13 years; we believe the trail is there for everyone at every phase of life. All guides are certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR, and knowledgeable in local history, flora, and fauna. Check out our website for more information!

My boyfriend, Norm, and I thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Asheville this past week! Prior to our visit, we did a ton of research to learn about all of the activities and must do/see in the area. We came across Blue Ridge Hiking Company. After doing our own research, we called and spoke with Lindsay to learn about our different options. She was extremely friendly and, after speaking with her, we decided to sign up for a private morning half-day hike. We filled out some information about what we were hoping to see and Lindsay took it from there. The day leading up to the hike, she reached out with some options and information on what to bring for the day. We decided to hike DuPont State Park and she tailored the hike to our level and interest. We saw some amazing waterfalls, beautiful forests, and learned about some of the nature and wildlife along the way. Thank you so much for being such an awesome guide, Lindsay!

Was on a school trip with our awesome guide Fransico Miller. We went on great trails which were all made better by the presence of friends and quality guiding by Fransico. The experience was exactly what you’d want from a hiking trip.

My first visit to Asheville could not have been complete without a hike in Appalachia. They accommodated us the day before and found a guide right away to take us to an easy hike since we were not experienced hikers. We were guided by Jenn Gift who was patient, kind, honest and so knowledgeable about the wildnerness which made us more comfortable and relaxed. She knew so much about the positive experiences that you can get from the incredible energy of nature, and I recommend you choose her for your hike!
