We had a 4-hour rock climbing course (which we ended up in extending to 6 hours). We are family of 4 (all beginners) with children 13 and 11. The instructor was Yolan, who is not only well experienced and very professional instructor of rock climbing, but also know how to entertain adults and kids and make it fun for us all with different skills. After the initial rock climbing, we had a tour to the chasm of doom, which is not a rock climbing but adventure course. This is something one could experience without a guide or already knowing the route very well. After 4 hours, we were well tired but also wanted to have more of experience. So extended the time to 6 hour course. Overall it was an amazing experience for all of us. Thank you Yolan!

We had a blast climbing with Tamas from Stone Adventures. My two sons (ages 6 and 9) and I (mom) had until now only climbed in the climbing gym. Tamas curated an adventure that was just the right level of challenge. He provided genuine encouragement and expert guidance to help each of us push ourselves to accomplish much more than we thought we could. Tamas had a great rapport with the kids and also taught them about the park and its flora and fauna as we went along. My kids want to head straight to the climbing gym to practice for our next climb with Tamas and Stone Adventures when we're back in Joshua Tree!

We had a fantastic experience with Greg, our guide from Stone Adventures. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and a fantastic teacher. He gave appropriate instructions and encouraged us so that we would learn as we went. He was great about offering advice when needed and letting us find our way when we could. He provided lots of choices so that we could have an experience that was customized to our needs/interests. My 10 and 12 year olds went from “Do we really have to get up to do this?” in the am to “ what do you mean it’s over?!” After 4 hours. It was a great mastery experience for my kids. My overconfident son got to see where some of his limits were and my less confident preteen daughter got to see what she could accomplish. Highly recommend!
