Wycieczka jeepem San Andreas Fault z Palm Desert

Przegląd
Only Red Jeep Tours can take you to Metate Ranch, located in the heart of the San Andreas Fault Zone.

On this awe-inspiring OPEN-AIR Jeep Tour, you will travel deep into the heart of California’s world-famous San Andreas Fault and witness the forces of nature that have created amazing, steep-walled canyons and the most twisted and tormented landscapes on Earth!

You will be awestruck by the spectacular scenery as your Jeep winds its way through the bones of the earth. During your adventure, you will stop several times for short nature walks, including a short hike through a slot canyon, if desired.

This tour also stops at a natural palm oasis, where water bubbles up from the ground year-round. Here you will learn about how the Cahuilla Indians used desert plants to survive in this inhospitable environment.

A final highlight is a guided tour of our recreated Cahuilla Indian Village that showcases the lifestyle and culture of the Cahuilla people.

There were 4 in our group and it was hard to imagine how this tour in the desert would be interesting, besides the open jeep ride. Michael, a retired teacher, was our driver. From the start, he was full of information and exceeded our expectation! He was always aware of everyone's needs as well. This tour was a highlight for our one week stay in Palm Springs.

We scheduled the 8:00 am San Andreas Fault Jeep Tour from Palm Desert on New Years Eve. Our family of four arrive before 8:00 am but both jeeps were full. The drivers indicated our names were not one the list. I then produced our tickets which had the correct date and time. The driver then called the office and we were told that we had been unilaterally moved to the 1pm tour. I believe this was false. Even if it was true, we were unavailable in the afternoon. Obviously, mistake sometimes happen. Good companies admit fault and try to make it right with the customer. For example, Red Jeep could have offered to discount or comp a tour on another date in light of the inconvenience. (It takes half an hour to drive to the departure point from Rancho Mirage.) The best it did was offer to take us on another date but by thenwe had no confidence in this outfit. I would not recommend Red Jeep. Instead I would use an alternative tour company.

We're sorry that you had a negative experience, but your review is unfair and does not accurately reflect what happened. It is correct that we made a mistake on your original booking. You had booked 4 seats at 8 am through TripAdvisor/Viator. In order to get a confirmation to customers with all of the correct information on it, we must rebook each reservation when we receive it through their API. We have a new reservations agent who did make a mistake and accidentally rebook you to the 1 pm tour instead of back to the 8 am tour. She wasn't trying to "unilaterally move you" as you claim. She simply made a mistake. When you arrived for you tour and the guides didn't have you on their manifesrs and you called our office, you spoke to our reservations manager, Emelie. She offered you several options. First, she said you could go at 8 am, but we would have to split your party between 2 Jeeps because we didn't have 4 seats left together. You didn't want to do that. She offered to rebook you to 1 pm that day or another day, you asked to rebook for Monday. So she rebooked you. Emelie said she aplogized to you several times and accepted responsibility for the problem and tried to make it right. She said you were very nice on the phone and seemed understanding. Apparently you called back about an hour after rebooking and canceled for Monday. Although you were within the 48 hour cancelation window, we authorized a full refund with TripAdvisor/Viator since the original mistake had been ours. Because you booked through a third party, we at not allowed to offer discounts, as the tours are sold through them at a negotiated rate. But we did our best to offer you options and we did fully accept responsibility for the original mistake. So your review does not accurately reflect what happened and we are very surprised by it. We did our best to correct the issue with you and refunded your money when you changed your mind. Yet you're going around writing terrible reviews about us all over the internet which are simply not an accurate reflection of what happened. I'm not sure what else we could have done for you. As you stated, mistakes do sometimes happen. The week between Christmas and New Years is our busiest year of the week and it's a challenge keeping up with all of the constant changes. But we did (and do) accept responsibility on the rare occasion we make a mistake and we do our best to make the situation right by our customers. We are sorry that you were disappointed by us on New Year's eve. But we are a reputable company who cares deeply about our customers and we did offer you options and ultimately refunded you when you weren't satisfied. That's what good companies do.
