Alamo
Spaceruj po kolebce Texas Liberty, gdzie 189 odważnych mężczyzn walczyło o wolność od meksykańskiego generała Santa Ana w 1836 roku. Uwaga - stan Teksas zakazuje komercyjnym organizatorom wycieczek (takim jak my i wszyscy inni prywatni dostawcy) zwiedzania samego kościoła w Alamo. Rozpoczynamy i kończymy wycieczkę w Alamo Plaza z kontekstem historycznym i znaczeniem niezbędnym do samodzielnego docenienia wnętrza Alamo, jeśli zdecydujesz się na dalsze zwiedzanie.

We went to all of the sites listed, and learned an incredible amount of interesting history. Our guide, Luis' knowledge is amazing! He even suggested a convenient spot to meet, since out hotel was out of his scope. I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour goes to Mission San Jose and Mission Concepcion, makes a brief stop at Mi Tierra bakery, but no time to buy anything and that's it! There are also stops around town in the various nieghborhood but you don't get off the bus/van. On the other hand, Luis is very knowledgeable and entertaining and we learned a great deal from him. He was also very accomodating to my husband, who is currently using a walker, could answer any question anyone had, etc. So the next day, we went back and actally saw the Alamo and tried a pastry at Mi Tierra and it all worked out well. But if this had been our last day in town, we would have been extemely disappointed and upset and I do feel strongly that this information needs to be corrected.

Overall, Luis is extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed the stops we made, but one reason for signing up for this specific tour (which was more expensive than other mission tours) was to go inside the Alamo, go to San Fernando De Bexar Cathedral and to Historic Market Square of San Antonio. We ended with a talk outside the Alamo, but no entry/admission was included as stated in the "What's included" section. I understand Luis is not allowed to guide inside, but entry admission was listed as included and did not happen. And, neither San Fernando Cathedral and Market Square were visited. Of the six published "included" entry/admissions, three did not happen. So I am happy to have shared the stops we did with Luis, but paid for this tour specifically for the experiences that did not occur. He did make a stop at Mission Espada which was not listed, but I wanted to visit the areas listed in the published itinerary. Otherwise, I would have booked the $40 tour offered by a competitor that included the four missions, but not the Alamo or Cathedral, instead of $75 for this tour. Taking phone calls to book people on future tours during our tour was not thrilling either, but had we made all the stops and received all of the entry/admissions published, I would not have minded as much.

Hi David, Apologies as it appears that we missed the mark with this tour. We combined your booking with a separate couple that booked outside of TripAdvisor from another hotel. We modified the itinerary to match what the other customer had booked which should have been disclosed to you before the tour. This was a mistake and we apologize. For additional context, you likely recall that a separate tourist on the tour also requested to return to his hotel to avoid missing his flight which further altered our planned stops. Also want to clarify that the admission to the Alamo is free for all tourists. The State of Texas however bans commercial tour operators (like ourselves and all other private providers) from touring inside the Alamo church itself. Please see the Visiting Guidelines section of the Alamo's website for more information (https://www.thealamo.org/visitingguidelines/index.html). We will amend our listing to reflect this information to set the appropriate expectations going forward. We hope you still enjoyed your stay in our great city. Thank you, Alejandro
