Great way to be introduced to the city. The bus was comfortable and our guide was fun and knowledgeable. The river walk is amazing and the cruise was perfect.
The tours are both great, but you can buy tickets directly from these vendors at the Visitor Center outside the Alamo. You'll save yourself some money and can pick the tour packages you want.
The bus itself was standard. I give it 3 stars. The tour guides were nice like most Texans, and provided some useful pieces of information. I would give them 3.5 stars. The schedule of buses running was poor. I give it 1 star. The stops the buses made were ok, but definitely could be better. I give it 2 stars. The issues with the hop-on/hop-off tour is mainly with the company management/owners. I would suggest you grab one of their maps and tour the locations yourself and save yourself a lot of . Also, there are a ton of other great places to go that are simply not on the tour.
As for the river cruise, it's definitely not worth the money. Just walk up and down the river walk. It's a much better experience. The speakers on the boat are super loud and you might blow your eardrum. Also, they pack the boats in like sardines in a can. There is barely any space to move. Good luck taking pictures.
Overall, I do not recommend this offering at all.
