Gary was an excellent guide. He was very funny. We had to come back to our first stop with Deb. She was monotonous and we could not hear her well.

Trolley car guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Visiting Coronado Island and Hotel Del was the highlight by far. I liked the concept of being able to get off and on the trolley to explore but more information about trolley departures times - perhaps on the app - would add value. Also the marketing info advertised Balboa Park / the San Diego Zoo as a stop but you had to walk 30 minutes to the zoo and back which was WAY misleading.

The Hop on Hop off bus is the way to get your bearings in San Diego in order to make plans of where you go and what you visit during your stay. There is so much to see in San Diego and the Hop on Hop off takes you to many places .. Balboa Park, USS Midway Museum, Seaport Village, Little Italy, San Diego Zoo to name but a few. The bus drivers give you a running commentary on where you are and what you can see. Well worth the tour.
