On our Secret Food Tour: San Francisco, the Mission District, you'll see how immigrants shaped the neighborhood by creating brilliant artwork, beautiful architecture and sharing their fantastic food! Originally home to Irish, German, and Italian immigrants, it is now the epicenter of San Francisco's Latino culture.

The Mission District is full of vibrant murals that offer a visual history lesson featuring themes ranging from cultural heritage to social-political statements. We will take a stroll through the neighborhood to get an up-close experience.

Our tours are more than just the food. Our local guides connect the dots between history, culture, and cuisine to provide you with a deep understanding of the Mission District's thriving culinary scene!

Did this tour with my Mum, it was fantastic. James the guide was full of interesting facts, he kept us informed and showed us around the neighbourhood. Really enjoyed looking at the murals, James gave a heap of information about these as we walked. Food was fabulous, plenty to taste, a really enjoyable afternoon. Highly recommend the tour, a great way to learn, meet interesting people, hear from James and taste super yummy food.

Fun learning about the Mission District from Dave, a long-time resident who has literally lived on the food we enjoyed. The burritos were (of course) authentic and awesome. The tacos were rich with flavor, and with the pastries, we had plenty(!) of food. The local murals are fantastic and constantly changing, so lots to see on the walk. This is not the Wharf, the financial district, or the charming hilly neighborhoods, but it’s delightful. Only issue was to keep the tour to 3 hours or so.

We went on a food tour with Jamie in the Mission. He picked four or five spots, and they were all delicious! Plus, he was very knowledgeable about all the murals we passed while walking and all the local history.
