Przegląd

The 2nd Annual Art Crawl Trolley tour runs Jan 10, Feb 14, Mar 14, & Apr 11, 2025. Book your boarding time (every 15 min) on one of 3 trolleys that visit 6 art district locations on a 45-min tour route in downtown Sarasota. Arts districts include: Main St. N. Palm, S. Palm, Burns Ct., Towles Ct. & Limelight District. Visit 20+ galleries & studios. This tour includes hop-on/hop-off transportation to all art gallery hub stops.

$5 from each ticket will be donated to The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County.

No guide will offer any tour content but staff & volunteers will direct you to all galleries & tell you about each district. Three trolleys run in rotation every 15 min from 4 PM – 8 PM. If you are unable to catch one of the trolleys back before 7:45 PM, you are welcome to take an Uber or walk back to the Trolley Cottage.

Before you board, browse our Trolley Cottage Gift Shop & enjoy complimentary beer/wine. ALL guests must be 21+.

What a great time we had on our tour with 2 other couples. The hosts were so much fun and had a wealth of information to share along the way. Their interaction with the patrons was incredible. There were so many galleries to explore and a variety of art . We never would have discovered them on our own. We enjoyed the freedom of grabbing the next trolley at our own pace. Hours of fun for only $10. What a deal!

We had a great experience on the art crawl. We enjoyed going into galleries we would not otherwise see. We found the gallery representatives to be very hospitable and informative. Most galleries offered snacks and drinks which was a nice touch. The docents that were working in each zone were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed hearing our trolley guides Jerry and Kathy tell us about the art in Sarasota. They always include some humor! Everyone in our group had a wonderful evening. We all felt the $10 ticket provided a big bang for the buck. It’s exciting to see how the art community in Sarasota has flourished and is continuing to grow. The city has become very vibrant! It was fun to be out and about with other art lovers.

We had a terrible experience. Only got to 2 of the 6 stops because the waits for trolley were so long and had to Uber back to parking because after 45 minutes of waiting for trolley we had to give up.

I wish you had been on Art Crawl 1 or 2 when things worked as planned. I am very sorry you felt compelled to write this after I refunded your tickets and also refunded your uber fee. What I shared with you when you came back is that we had 225 people on the tour- the same number as last month. We limited it to 250 but 25 did not come. The difference this time was that the second trolley and driver that we rented to accommodate these guests were new. We have one trolley and needed two to run this type of tour. The driver we had before had an accident Thursday night and was in the hospital so the driver who showed up to replace her never was given the route in advance and lives in Venice so was not familiar with Sarasota. The trolley that came also had 10 fewer seats than before so this caused spacing issues we could not change. We had no idea of this change until he came at 4:30 when we had 200 people checking in. During the tour, we were trying desperately to communicate with him to get to the route stops but he was lost. 80% of guests (many who had been on previous two crawls) loved the tour and had a great time, but 20% who were left at stops or missed as you describe did not. I am very sorry for this as we take great pride in leading well-planned tours and expected the same driver and experience we had for the first two crawls. Despite all our efforts, this night was not what we wanted for our guests.
