I visited Salem with my brother for the first time and we had a few other tours booked. This one, however, was one of our highlights. Tom kept it real: he didn't sugarcoat Salem's history but he also didn't give the gruesome details other tours did which gave it a less touristy and more authentic local feel. Tom was open to taking questions about literally anything and was super laid back which made the tour a blast.
The bullet points of this tour included: learning about the tenets of satanism (duh, that's what you're here for), tidbits about monuments from the past that no longer exist (ask where the trials actually took place and it's not where you would expect), and even a pro tip about the best kept secret coffee shop none of the locals want you to know about; I can't say anymore about the coffee shop as I was sworn to secrecy.
If you're planning on taking a big cheesy tour, by all means do it. But don't forget to take a lovely afternoon stroll with the Salem satanists.
