While we had originally planned to do an after hours tour with Shannon at Bonaventure, - it was a Mother's Day gift for my mom who was visiting from out of town - the coronavirus had other plans! Thankfully, Shannon was more than happy to work with us and we ended up doing a private tour that was truly better than anything we could have hoped for. Shannon is extremely knowledgeable and a terrific, engaging storyteller - so much so that we did not even notice when we had gone over our three-hour time allotment! We have been to Bonaventure numerous times, but it was fascinating to hear so many stories and details about the cemetery's wonderful history that really opened my eyes even moreso to what a special place it is. Shannon covered a little bit of everything with us, but my mother and I have both said we could take a tour with him ten more times and learn something new each visit. He even made a point to sign posters for us both and truly made it a very special Mother's Day gift. Would definitely recommend to anyone just visiting the area or locals who want to learn more about Bonaventure's fascinating history!

Shannon Scott is definitely Savannah’s best storyteller. He knows so much history about Savannah and the way he tells his stories is fascinating. He is a great narrator, his voice reels you in like how Morgan Freeman narrates a story! I have been watching his mini video tours he shares on Facebook and I finally got to take one of his tours of the very beautiful Bonaventure Cemetery. I want to take a couple of his other tours of Colonial and Laurel Park Cemeteries as well! I would recommend his tour above all of the others of Savannah that’s for sure.

The Bonaventure cemetery is a must see when you're in Savannah. Very beautiful and tranquil. We had walked through a few times during our stays in Savannah but this tour really showed us things that we had never noticed. Our guide Jessica was awesome!! She was very informative and told incredible stories about the people buried there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
