First of all, Shannon couldn’t be nicer. He was super to deal with. Unfortunately, he didn’t do my tour. I had Jessica. Jessica was also very, very nice so that’s not what I found to be a problem. On the day I went, it was abnormally cold for Savannah. In fact, it was freezing cold. Jessica kept my group in a total standstill in the cold shade for over a half hour overloading us with information that probably could have been done in half the time. It was far too detailed and I, along with most in my group, were in agony while we stood in the freezing cold without being able to stand in the sun or even walk along and talk. By the time we finally got to move, we stopped at the map of the cemetery which took another half hour. It was almost a full hour before we got to our first site! This is advertised as a 2 hour tour and I would have preferred getting to the actual gravesite of Gracie and the Mercer’s and actual real sight seeing than standing in one spot while listening to Jessica overload with information. Some of it was repetitive and with way too much detail. This is just a personal preference of mine...I like a little history but standing around for almost a full hour before seeing what I came to see was too much for me. Again, Shannon and Jessica were very, very nice. Jessica takes way too much time before getting the tour started. I feel like I didn’t see nearly as much as I could have. There was much too much standing around and seeing nothing. I found this very frustrating. I was very disappointed and I can’t really recommend this tour if Jessica is the guide.
